What Would You Do?

The Titan Games: After a tepid Memorial Day launch, The Titan Games rose from then on and has never gone below the premiere rating. I was worried that it would tank to 0.5s and be too expensive to come back with ratings like that, but it's doing very respectably at this point and has been pretty steady as well. It's being upgraded to a LIKELY RENEWAL.

The Wall: The summer run of this game show has been worlds apart from its spring run. A disastrous post-Little Big Shots run that screamed burnoff on Sundays led to me think the one-time hit show was a sure goner. Most shows can't recover after hitting 0.2 (well, except the CW). However, with 0.7s and 0.6s so far for its Monday outings, it's hard to imagine that NBC isn't at least considering bringing it back. It's clearly very dependent on its situation, being a very casual watch without a dedicated audience. However, a post-Titan slot in summer is a good place for it and a place it could continue to air. The only thing keeping me back from a renewal prediction is that it was last filmed years ago and I don't know if the set even exists anymore. NBC's sent out mixed signals here with this show, both holding it off for years and giving it an awful slot upon return and also upgrading it behind a solid performer in summer and airing weekly repeats on Fridays. It's hard to predict what they'll ultimately do with it but for now, it's upgraded to LEANS CANCELLATION.

Ultimate Tag: Despite a strong start, this show has flamed out fast. It's not hard to see why. It had a big Masked Singer lead-in for its premiere and then got stuck with low-rated repeats of MasterChef as its lead-in. It's a move that only makes sense in the minds of Fox. A show that had such potential didn't deserve to get stuck with a terrible lead-in, especially when they had 8 PM slots available every day of the week from Sunday through Wednesday. It keeps dropping, and this week slipped to 0.4. I can't keep it at such a high prediction after going that low, especially when Fox seems to see it as an afterthought. It only LEANS RENEWAL now.

Don't: I'll wait for a full-fledged analysis of this one until next week, as new ABC game shows tend to drop as the season goes along and I don't want to get too confident on this one so soon. However, the 0.8 start is a very good one for any show this season, let alone one in the summer with a 0.7 lead-in. It's starting off in a good place, but lands in LEANS RENEWAL as I wait to see its trend.

The Baker and the Beauty: Despite passable numbers for 10 PM and a ratings bump for its finale, that wasn't enough to save The Baker and the Beauty from being axed by ABC this week. This a correct prediction, though I was a bit more positive on its outlook in recent weeks.

What do you think of my predictions? What are your predictions? Let me know in the comments and vote in the polls of the week!
