ABC has canceled The Kids Are Alright after its first season. The 1970s-set sitcom appeared to be a solid performer for ABC at first, but soon faded to numbers that made it one of the network's weakest sitcoms. The show was well-received by critics, but that wasn't enough to make up for its low ratings; it averaged a front-loaded 0.84 over its first season. Mary McCormack, Michael Cudlitz, and Jack Gore, among others, starred in this series as a large Irish Catholic family living in 1970s Los Angeles. The series finale is set to air on May 21. This was a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
