The universe of 9-1-1 will be expanding next season, as Fox's top drama is spawning a new spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star. The show is one of six new dramas next season on Fox, alongside shows such as Kim Cattrall's soap Filthy Rich and Michael Sheen criminal drama Prodigal Son. The fourth straight-to-series order of the season for Fox (along with animated sitcoms Duncanville, The Great North, and Bless The Harts), the show will center on a sophisticated New York cop who re-locates to Austin, Texas and must try balancing saving vulnerable citizens and solving the issues in his own personal life. Rob Lowe is the only cast member signed on so far for the series, which is expected to debut in January 2020.
