Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Canceled After 20 Seasons

Long-running syndicated game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire has been canceled. The series, originally hosted by Regis Philbin, debuted in 1999 on ABC and was a massive hit before sliding in the ratings. It was canceled in 2002, and a daily syndication version was soon ordered, hosted by Meredith Vieira. Veira exited in 2013 and experienced multiple host changes before finally finding its fifth and final host, Chris Harrison, in 2015. The show will wrap up later this year.
