The revival of iconic comedy Murphy Brown will be short-lived. As expected, the network will not be moving forward with another season, following a disappointing season in the Thursday at 9:30 slot. The writing was on the wall for the show, as CBS frequently aired it on nights where the rest of the lineup was on repeats in an effort to get rid of it before 2018 came to a close. Though the show was reported to be coming to an end before, nothing was official until now. Emmy winner Candice Bergen starred as the titular news anchor, along with Faith Ford, Grant Shaud, Jake McDorman and Tyne Daly. This was a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
