Village Gazette and Like Magic Passed On by NBC

Comedy pilot Village Gazette has been passed on by NBC. The pilot focuses on Amber, the editor of a small town newspaper, who is forced by the paper's owners to work with a big city reporter that challenges the happy denial that Amber has been living in and causes her to push against the rose-colored bubble that she created for both herself and the paper. Late Night star Amber Ruffin created and stars in the pilot, along with Tommy Dewey. The project is produced by Lorne Michaels and Seth Meyers.

Also passed on is Like Magic, which starred Jee Young Han as an optimistic young woman who pursues her dream to be a headlining magician in the Magic Palace. Freddie Stroma, Rory O'Malley and French Stewart also starred.
