Seth MacFarlane's sci-fi dramedy The Orville will be back in action for season three. Fox renewed the show today after a season of modest ratings, seeing a 0.74 average and a 40% decline. That was higher than its Gotham lead-in, which was enough for Fox to grant it another season. The show was also helped out by California tax credits that it will receive for the third season, which makes production of the show cheaper than it would have previously been. Besides MacFarlane, the show stars Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald and Scott Grimes.
