Quantum Leap Canceled by NBC

Quantum Leap is leaping off of NBC's schedule. The sci-fi drama, a reboot of the 1989 Scott Bakula series of the same name, has been canceled after two seasons. It premiered in fall 2022, and posted mediocre retention of The Voice and AGT: Al-Stars, going as low as 0.26. Despite that, it was still given an early renewal, which allowed it to produce its second season early enough to get on the air for fall 2023, making it one of the few scripted originals airing during a season that was rocked by the SAG and WGA strikes. The ratings for the last season, however, were a marked decline from the first season, even as the show moved to an 8 PM slot. By January, it was moved to Tuesdays at 10, where it stabilized at a weak 0.18 that sealed its fate. Raymond Lee, Ernie Hudson, Caitlin Bennett and Mason Alexander Park starred in the series. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
