The Rookie Renewed by ABC

Officer John Nolan may not be a rookie anymore, but he'll remain on the case for another year. ABC has renewed The Rookie, their veteran police procedural, for a seventh season. The drama series has been a decent live+same-day performer for the network over its run, but is a top performer in digital multiplatform viewing. This year, the show averaged a 0.33 in the L+SD 18-49 demo, a decline from last season, but still enough to keep the show competitive in its hour. The show celebrated its 100th episode this season, and its success in delayed viewing inspired an order for its spinoff, The Rookie: Feds, in 2022. After failing to live up to the success of its parent show, Feds was canceled last year after a single season, but The Rookie remains a valuable asset for the network. Nathan Fillion, Melissa O'Neil, Eric Winter, Jenna Dewan Richard T. Jones and Alyssa Diaz star in the series. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
