14% lower than last year's ceremony (
0.35) in the Adults 18-49 demographic and shed
22% in terms of total viewership (1.48 million vs. 2023's 1.89 million). On ABC,
American Idol (0.39) was way down from yesterday's episode (
0.55) for its first Monday broadcast of the season.
Idol was followed by the debut of
The Interrogation Tapes (0.23).
Deal or No Deal Island (0.25,
-0.01) lost a hundredth on NBC but fully retained the
Voice clip show (0.25) that led into it.
The Neighborhood (0.42,
-0.07) dropped on CBS, but
Bob Hearts Abishola (0.36,
+0.01) ticked up. In the back-half of the night,
NCIS (0.38,
+0.02) and
NCIS: Hawai'i (0.32,
+0.02) were up by two-hundredths apiece. On the CW,
All American (0.11) returned with a rating that was slightly higher than its May 2023 finale (
0.09), but the good news ended there as
Lovers and Liars (0.04) bombed on series premiere night.
