CBS has issued renewals for five series today: all three shows in the FBI franchise (FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, and FBI: International), flagship drama NCIS, and veteran sitcom The Neighborhood. Renewals for FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International, NCIS, and The Neighborhood are for one season each, while FBI has been renewed for three seasons.
This brings CBS’s total number of scripted shows ordered for the 2024-25 TV season to 15. In addition to these five renewals, they have already renewed Fire Country, Tracker, NCIS: Sydney, and Ghosts and have ordered to series new dramas Watson, NCIS: Origins, and Matlock, as well as sitcoms Poppa’s House and a yet-to-be-named Young Sheldon spinoff. Blue Bloods will also return for the final half of its final season in the fall.
Notably left out of these renewal announcements are The Equalizer, which like the FBI franchise is co-produced by NBCUniversal, and NCIS: Hawai’i. The other scripted shows waiting to hear their fates are CSI: Vegas, Elsbeth, and So Help Me Todd.
This news gives The TV Ratings Guide three correct predictions and two incorrect predictions. NCIS and The Neighborhood were the lone shows remaining in the Certain Renew category, while the FBI spinoffs were predicted as Leans Cancel. FBI had a Leans Renew prediction at the time of its renewal.
