Below are the Week 5 renew/cancel predictions for the Fox network in the 2023-24 television season. The numbers listed in the table mark the Nielsen rating low, average, and high for each respective program in the Adults 18-49 demographic. The "Y2Y (year-to-year) Change" column denotes how much the series has risen or fallen when compared to its average from the previous season. Because of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, there is a limited amount of scripted programming this fall. As a result, reality television will now be included in this column.

Krapopolis: For a few weeks, 'Krapopolis' did a decent job blending in with the "Animation Domination" block. Its performance was far from solid but inoffensive enough that it could be compared to past 8:30 occupants like "Bless the Harts" and "The Great North". But, coasting on NFL fumes can only get you so far on Fox Sundays. At some point, the football help dries out, and the true strength of the program is revealed. For 'Krap', this came on October 22nd when it crashed to a meager 0.18 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic. The animated comedy retained just 60% of its 'Simpsons' lead-in (0.30) and was noticeably lower than 9 p.m. hour cartoons 'Bob's Burgers' (0.23) and 'Family Guy' (0.24).

A 0.18 rating is smaller than the season low of every other program in the chart, including 'Name That Tune'. 'Krapopolis' is now a clear notch below C-tier players like 'The Great North' and could soon be sinking to more miserable levels. 60% retention would be passable enough on an NFL night since the football boost tends to fade away very quickly, but it is particularly rough on a non-football evening when only core viewers of the block are around. Though the Dan Harmon program is already Renewed, it's hard to imagine Fox is very happy with this performance. A time slot downgrade is likely to come soon, especially with 'Grimsburg' getting ready to debut in the winter.

Hell's Kitchen: At a time when most shows are slipping to new lows, long-running staple 'Hell's Kitchen' just set a new season high. The Gordon Ramsay series climbed to a 0.38 rating on Thursday, October 26 and was the third highest-rated program of the evening, only losing to juggernauts like 'The Golden Bachelor' and 'Big Brother'. 'Hell's Kitchen' has been Certain to be Renewed since the start of the season, and that is not about to change anytime soon. Aside from 'The Masked Singer' and football-boosted cartoons, this is the best that Fox has for itself right now.

LEGO Masters: Though it has been Renewed, 'LEGO Masters' is one of the weakest shows on the Fox network. As 'Hell's Kitchen put up its solid 0.38 rating, 'Masters' could only muster up a 0.23. The post-'Kitchen' slot definitely deserves to go to a show that can properly hold the audience of its lead-in. 'LEGO Masters' has clearly seen better days, and Fox is likely keeping it around for reasons outside of live ratings.
