Ratings Analysis: It was season premiere night for Fox's animation block, but the numbers were well below what they were last year. 'The Simpsons' (1.08) dropped by 23% from its year-ago premiere (1.41) but also had less help from 'The OT' (2.51) when compared to fall 2022's launch (3.46). In the 8:30 p.m. time slot, 'Krapopolis' (0.51, -0.37) trailed last week's debut and retained less than 50% of what 'The Simpsons' garnered. 'Bob's Burgers' (0.39) and 'Family Guy' (0.31) had even steeper declines than 'Simpsons', with 'Bob's' shedding 32% from last year (0.57) and 'Family Guy' sinking by a whopping 38% (0.50). On CBS, '60 Minutes' (0.46) and 'Yellowstone' (0.29/0.26) declined, as did 'Big Brother' (0.38, -0.08). The 'Chiefs v. Jets' NFL game (6.67) was a full ratings point above last week's 'Steelers v. Raiders' (5.58) on NBC. ABC had the premiere of 'AFV' (0.35), a broadcast of 2021 film 'Jungle Cruise' (0.28), and an 'AFV' rerun (0.13). 'The Chosen' (0.04, 0.00) was stable on the CW and led into a 'World's Funniest Animals' repeat (0.02).
