Fantasy Island Canceled by Fox

Fox's fantasy has come to an end, as they have canceled Fantasy Island after two seasons. It was the lowest-rated of any show on Fox this season with just a 0.20 average, and was also one of the lowest-rated on all of broadcast TV. Its average is just a third of that of its lead-in, 9-1-1, which was also canceled by Fox. While 9-1-1's cancellation was due to high costs, Fantasy Island was one of the more affordable to produce of any scripted series on Fox's lineup, though that wasn't enough to make up for the weak ratings. The show initially premiered as a summer show, airing for eight episodes in late summer 2021, before it was moved in-season this year for its second and final season. Roselyn Sanchez, Kiara Barnes and John Gabriel Rodriquez starred in the series over the course of its 22-episode run.
