LORENZO is in his apartment, still on house arrest. He is meeting with ADAM, SAM, CHASE, REAGAN, MADISON, and LINCOLN.
MADISON
Alright Lorenzo, before we get started today, I want to make one thing clear: Lincoln and I are VERY reluctantly back on your case.
LINCOLN
Yeah, we really think you’re gonna lose.
LORENZO
Well, at least that’s four of you who still think I’ll win!
ADAM
Uh…yeah, sure. So anyways, let’s get started.
LORENZO
Wait! All this time you’ve been helping me out, and I never thought to put out any food.
CHASE
Oh, that’s really not necessary.
LORENZO
You kidding? Don’t pretend you didn’t come back to Lorenzo’s Kitchen over and over again because you liked my creations.
CHASE
Fine, just make it quick. We don’t have all day.
LORENZO
What else do you have going on?
Everyone is silent.
LORENZO
Thought so. I’ll be right back with food.
LORENZO walks away.
REAGAN
This guy is an idiot.
SAM
Yeah, someone tell me again why we took up this case?
LINCOLN
I think this is the first and last time we take up a case to help out a friend. From now on, we just take up the ones where the person is obviously innocent.
ADAM
Are there even any such people? Remember, Lorenzo met two obviously innocent people in jail. Turns out, they weren’t innocent at all.
REAGAN
To be fair to them, we’re going off Lorenzo’s judgement.
CHASE
Well I mean I don’t think we should give criminals the benefit of the doubt in any circumstance but you’re kinda right.
LORENZO approaches the rest of the group with a large box.
LORENZO
So as it turns out, I don’t have any food.
MADISON
I thought you were going to make food.
LORENZO
Oh. I guess I could’ve done that.
LINCOLN
What’s in the box?
LORENZO
Candy bars from SugarCity. I get a shipment every week as part of them buying out Lorenzo’s Kitchen.
Everyone takes a candy bar. They are all SOKE Bars.
MADISON
What’s this? I’ve never seen it before, are you sure this is SugarCity?
LORENZO
Yep, they’re testing out a new product that they’re getting ready to launch. I haven’t tried it yet.
LORENZO opens his SOKE Bar and takes a bite.
LORENZO
THIS IS AMAZING!!!
MADISON
Tastes kinda wet to me but ok.
LORENZO takes his phone out, takes a picture of the bar, starts typing.
ADAM
You texting someone at SugarCity?
LORENZO doesn’t answer.
LORENZO
And….done!
REAGAN
What’s done?
LORENZO
I just wrote about it on social media. The world likes to know what I’m eating!
LINCOLN
Are you allowed to post about it?
LORENZO
Oh. I didn’t think about that.
SAM
You should delete it before anyone sees it. Just to be safe.
LORENZO
Fine.
LORENZO goes to delete his posts.
LORENZO
Whoa! This is blowing up! I can’t delete this!
CHASE
Well this can only go badly.
ADAM
Also do you want us to leave or are you gonna pay for more time?
LORENZO
Leave, I need some alone time with my SOKE Bars!
ADAM, CHASE, SAM, LINCOLN, REAGAN, and MADISON leave.
