The show was renewed for a second season before the first even began. In season one, it got poor ratings after new ratings success Grown-ish. As a result, Freeform aired the second season in somewhat of a burn-off fashion, which was also released on Hulu before airing. This cancelation comes as no surprise, and follows other second-season cancelations at Freeform this year, Beyond and Famous in Love.
