Sunday's game 5 of the 2018 World Series (4.66, 17.7 million) took victory on the week, leading everything on broadcast, including both 'Thursday Night Football' and 'Sunday Night Football.' The series as a whole averaged a 3.69 A18-49 rating and 14.39 million viewers, the lowest demo since 2012 and the lowest viewership since 2014. Best of the Week:
FOX's 'Thursday Night Football' (3.65, 12.09 million) saw the best week-to-week growth on broadcast, rising 0.79 in the demo from last week. On CBS, 'The Big Bang Theory' (2.26, 13 million) rose 0.19 from last week, while ABC's 'Child Support' (0.54, 2.36 million) jumped 0.18 from last week's disastrous 0.36. Both 'The Goldbergs' (1.30, 4.98 million) and 'Modern Family' (1.48, 5.27 million), on ABC, saw impressive gains from last week with the former up 0.17 and the latter up 0.16. Finally, over at NBC, 'New Amsterdam' (1.35, 6.37 million) was up 0.16.
Worst of the Week:
ABC's 'The Connors' (1.74, 8.01 million) has this week's unenviable distinction of having the worst drop from last week among scripted series, falling 0.61 from its impressive premiere. The numbers though, if they continue to hold, are still very good. Also on that network, comedies 'Splitting Up Together' (0.67, 2.9 million) and 'The Kids Are Alright' (1.06, 5.08 million) both fell hard, the former was down 0.20 and the latter tumbled 0.36. On CBS, 'God Friended Me' (0.73, 6.95 million) dropped 0.51 from last week, while '60 Minutes' (0.77, 7.98 million) fell 1.58 back to its normal numbers. 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.81, 7.19 million) also on CBS, was down 0.31. Finally, NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' (4.48, 14.14 million) dropped 0.65.
