TRISH

MARISSA

KRISTIN
Trish is in the military? What's she doing here?!
MARISSA

VAL
It's funny because the first women's baseball league way back when was made up entirely out of draft dodgers.
ELENA
Val, they were women. They weren't part of the draft.
CAROLYN
Then how'd the teams decide who to pick?
ELENA
The military draft, Carolyn, not the team draft.
MARISSA

Everyone pauses.
VAL

TRISH

VAL
Oh I remember! We were making fun of Trish!
KATIE

Everyone laughs.
TRISH

MARISSA
Who pitches a perfect inning, then walks back into the bullpen and just says...Now?
TRISH

CAROLYN

ELENA
No, this one was a statement, not a question. But like, Trish, why were you asking...Now?
TRISH
I don't know, okay? This was like three days ago, can we end it now?
ELENA
Now THAT'S a now question!
TRISH keeps looking at ELENA.
ELENA

TRISH

ELENA
Tell you what. I'll enforce a full ban on teasing you over this, as long as you go in and pitch.
TRISH

Everyone laughs.
TRISH

TRISH storms out of the bullpen and runs onto the field. She is quickly tackled by security.
MARISSA
We should probably leave before anyone tries to blame this on us...
Everyone leaves, causing the Bridgeport Zebras to go the rest of the game without their bullpen.
