The eighth season premiere of 9-1-1 (1.95), the second to air on ABC, was up 364% from its L+SD premiere. This is far more than the 207% bounce it received for the Season 7 premiere, but still down 14% in the 18-49 demo and 16% in total viewership. Lead-out Doctor Odyssey had no MP+7 demo rating reported, but thrived in total viewership. It hit a four-year high for a drama series premiere on ABC, with over 13.5 million viewers.
Dancing with the Stars (1.31) lagged behind its scripted peers with 7.32 million viewers. In demo, this is less than the mid-high 1s range seen by The Bachelor last season, despite getting a head start in linear ratings.
The series premiere of High Potential (2.12) grew an astounding 506% from its linear premiere in the 18-49 demo, reaching nearly 10 million viewers in its first week. Things got even better for its second episode (2.20, +0.08), growing nearly 610% from its linear 18-49 demo rating. These early results are on par with last season’s ratings for 9-1-1. They are also far ahead of previous time slot occupant The Good Doctor, whose final season premiere notched a paltry 0.79 in MP+3.
