Questions of the Week: Scrabble, 9-1-1, ABC Signature

1. The CW premiered their own adaptations of the board games Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit, the former notching a 0.06 L+SD A18-49 rating at 8 pm, and the latter a 0.09 at 9 pm. While nothing remarkable, this is a spike from The CW’s previous Thursday lineup which included Totally Funny Animals and Totally Funny Kids. If the ratings maintain for The CW’s new cost-effective game shows, do you think they should add more board game adaptations to their schedule?

2. A new 9-1-1 spinoff is reportedly in development at ABC, potentially landing a spot on the 2025-26 schedule. Franchise creator Ryan Murphy has teased the spinoff would take place in an unspecified new city — not Los Angeles like 9-1-1, or Austin like 9-1-1: Lone Star. Do you think ABC should order to series a 9-1-1 spinoff?

3. Disney is shutting down their sister studio ABC Signature, folding it into fellow sister studio 20th Television. Disney will also be merging the scripted drama and comedy teams for ABC and Hulu into one single team. Do you support or oppose Disney’s decision?
