Sunday TV Ratings 10/6/24: Bob’s Burgers and The Penguin Rise, AMAs Anniversary Special Solid, The Simpsons Slides [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: The NFL overrun was not around to rescue the Fox cartoons in week two, so The Simpsons (0.23, -0.10) was down by a full tenth from its premiere, and Krapopolis (0.14, -0.02) also declined at 9:30. However, Bob's Burgers (0.24, +0.04) actually gained a few ticks, and Universal Basic Guys (0.19, 0.00) matched last week's rating despite the Simpsons slippage. Over on CBS, the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special (0.96) was buoyed by a sizable football lead-in and gave Big Brother (0.47, +0.13) a boost. NBC's Cowboys/Steelers NFL game (4.68) dominated in the Adults 18-49 demographic. America's Funniest Home Videos (0.24, +0.01) inched up on ABC and led into the 2023 reboot of The Little Mermaid (0.20). The Chosen (0.03, +0.01) improved on the CW. Key: (R) = repeat.
