Welcome back to The TV Ratings Guide's inaugural May Mayhem Tournament! This tournament started off with 32 shows that reached #1 on our What's Trending chart for the respective streaming service between January 4 and May 2, 2026. Shows are weighted based on how many days they ranked at #1, as well as the market shares for the streaming services. A total of 107 shows have spent at least one day ranking at #1 its service's What's Trending chart, with the top-weighted 32 making the May Mayhem Tournament. There are 16 shows remaining in this round.
Below you can find the full bracket, broken up into four groups, followed by polls where you can vote on which show should proceed to the next round. Group Finals voting will close on Saturday, May 23. Let us know which show you think will win May Mayhem in the comments!
Group AThe overall 1 seed, Netflix's Bridgerton, has defeated Hulu's Love Story by a score of 17-14 in what was the least voted in poll of the Group Semifinals. Given the closeness of the matchup, Bridgerton will also advance to the Group Finals with less votes than any other show advancing. It also had less votes than one show that wound up getting eliminated.
In the other Group A matchup, Prime Video's Invincible defeated a fellow Prime Video show, Scarpetta, by a score of 25-16. This is despite Scarpetta having more first-round votes than Invincible did.
There have been no upsets as of yet in terms of seedings in Group A, but the difference in vote totals between Invincible (25) and Bridgerton (17) could make Bridgerton vulnerable to an upset in the Group Finals. However, should Bridgerton find the momentum it had against Beast Games in Round 1, it will have no trouble advancing to the Final Four.
Group B
Whereas Round 1 vote totals indicated Group B's 1 seed South Park would be facing a tough battle against 5 seed Running Point, South Park had no trouble getting by one of the two Netflix shows remaining in the tournament. South Park's vote total remained largely steady from Round 1, whereas Running Point completely collapsed.
After winning a near-unanimous vote against The Dinosaurs, High Potential took down Peacock's Ted with ease. Both shows had easy Round 1 victories, but Ted hit a brick wall in the Group Semifinals.
That means the Group B finals will include a cable show and a broadcast show, respectively representing Paramount+ and Hulu. South Park has the slight edge going into the matchup based on the latest round of voting, while High Potential led the entire 32-show field in votes in Round 1.
Group C
Hulu's Paradise will advance to the Group C Finals as an 8 seed after fending off a challenge from Peacock's The Traitors, winning 26-18. Both Paradise and The Traitors won their Round 1 matchups by the exact same 49-10 scores, making this a relatively tight Group Semifinal matchup. The Traitors was notable for being the only unscripted series to advance past the first round.
HBO Max's The Pitt continues its dominance, blowing out Disney+'s Wonder Man by a score of 27-6 in the most lopsided matchup of the Group Semifinals round. However, relatively low turnout caused The Pitt's vote total to still remain within the margin of most other winners.
Based on the first two rounds, The Pitt has a small advantage over Paradise in the Group C finals matchup. The Pitt exceeded Paradise's vote total 52-49 in Round 1, and 27-26 in the Group Semifinals. This is a differential Paradise can plausibly overcome to extend its Cinderella run into the Final Four.
Group D
The second one seed to go down in May Mayhem is Prime Video's Fallout. Despite winning its Round 1 matchup pretty decisively, it crumbled at the hands of The Rookie, which is representing Hulu. The Rookie had more trouble getting past Paramount+'s Landman in Round 1 than it did against Fallout.
The other Group D matchup also saw a Prime Video show go up against a Hulu show. This time, Hulu's The Testaments was not competitive against Prime Video's The Boys, which will advance to the Group D Finals after winning by a score of 24-10.
The Rookie and The Boys performed incredibly similar in overall vote totals in the first two rounds. In Round 1, The Boys had 36 votes to The Rookie's 35, while this round The Rookie had 26 votes to The Boys' 24 votes. Based on that, this matchup is a pure tossup.
There will be three Hulu shows advancing to the Group Finals, two Prime Video shows, and one show each on Netflix, HBO Max, and Paramount+. Neither Peacock nor Disney+ have any shows remaining in May Mayhem, in addition to Apple TV losing its lone bid in Round 1.
