Will Trent: One new show that has flown fully under the radar this season is Will Trent, a show with ratings so boring, I often forget it even exists. The show has been extremely steady since its debut, with all but two of its shows rating at a rounded 0.3 in the key demo (the exemptions being its 0.38 premiere and a 0.25 for episode 8). This has all occurred with a lead-in that is of absolutely no ratings assistance. Its 0.30 average is nothing incredible, but it's ABC's #1 new drama (tied with lead-in Rookie: Feds), and it's probably in the worst time slot of any of the new shows. Tuesdays at 10 has a troublesome slot for ABC, and Will Trent is remaining respectable in it. In fact, in its return from a two-week hiatus last week, it grew from its lead-in, which is rarely seen among 10 PM dramas. It's not a hit, but it's certainly doing enough to get by on a network that has struggled to find much success at 10 PM. For their part, ABC seems dedicated to the show, airing multiple repeats for it in efforts to increase awareness for the show. It's hard to really see what lies ahead for the show's long-term future, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I's a LIKELY RENEWAL for season two.

Grey's Anatomy: Last week, Grey's Anatomy became the first drama of the season to be renewed by ABC, securing a milestone 20th season for the iconic medical drama. Ellen Pompeo held up its renewals in recent seasons due to contract negotiations, and put the show's future somewhat in doubt. With her departing the cast this season, it was an obvious and an easy renewal, even if the show has settled into league average ratings after many years of rating well above the average. It was marked here as a certain renewal, and is a correct prediction.
