Monday TV Ratings 8/16/21: Strong Return for Bachelor in Paradise, Celebrity Dating Game Rises for Finale, Hell’s Kitchen Down (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: After close to two years off the air, ABC's 'Bachelor in Paradise' (0.93) made its return in relatively healthy fashion. While it was down slightly from the low 1s it garnered in 2019, it was on-par with the 2021 average of 'The Bachelorette' (0.94). At 10, 'Celebrity Dating Game' (0.40) gained a tenth for its season finale. Over on Fox, 'Hell's Kitchen' (0.63) dropped by a few hundredths while 'HouseBroken' (0.25) clung to a rounded 0.3 rating for the 9th time in a row. 'Duncanville' (0.21) was stable with its previous episode from nearly a month ago. NBC's 'American Ninja Warrior' (0.57) perked up as 'The Wall' (0.49) was close to even with its week-ago showing. CBS had its usual mismatch of sitcom and drama reruns (0.37/0.29/0.26/0.22/0.19). On the CW, 'Roswell, New Mexico' (0.10) and 'The Republic of Sarah' (0.05) were frozen at their normal levels.
