Motherland: Fort Salem Renewed for Final Season

Freeform isn't ready to say goodbye to Motherland: Fort Salem, but soon they will be. The supernatural drama has been renewed, though its third season will be its last. This news comes despite modest ratings for the show, which has averaged just a 0.06 in the live-plus-same-day 18-49 demographic in its second season. That's a marked 43% decline from season one, when it was already one of the lower-rated shows on Freeform's lineup. However, the show has a dedicated and vocal fanbase and performs well on streaming platforms including Hulu. The second season finale of the series airs tomorrow night. Taylor Hickson, Amalia Holm, Demetria McKinney, Jessica Sutton, Ashley Nicole Williams and Lyne Renée star in the series, which is executive produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

This news also comes just days after the cancellation of Freeform comedy Everything's Gonna Be Okay.
