Arrow Ending With Ten-Episode Final Season

It's the end of an era at The CW. The shows that kicked off the famed "Arrowverse" that helped reshape the network will conclude its run this fall with a shortened ten-episode final season. Arrow star Stephen Amell broke the news today in a tweet. The series has long been a staple of The CW's schedule, and is the parent series of the network's #1 show, The Flash. While Arrow has seen a lot of erosion in the ratings department recently, hitting a series low 0.2 lately, it will certainly be an iconic part of the network's history for years down the line. The series joins iconic shows Modern Family (ABC) and Criminal Minds (CBS) as series set to end in the 2019-20 season. Besides Amell, Arrow also stars Emily Best Rickards, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey and Echo Kellum. The series was previously renewed for season 8 in January.
