Saturday TV Ratings 7/13/24: Shark Week Ends on an All-Time Low, Fox News Easily Leads with Coverage of Trump Assassination Attempt, Rescuing Christmas Weak On Hallmark [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: Regularly-scheduled programming was largely abandoned on Saturday night as the major networks quickly pivoted to coverage of the shooting at former President Trump's Pennsylvania rally. Of the "Big Three" broadcast networks, it was ABC (0.41 rating/3.33 million viewers) that led the way. NBC (0.33 rating/2.74 million viewers) placed second in terms of Adults 18-49 ratings but third in total viewership. CBS (0.31 rating/2.98 million viewers) had the smallest rating of the three but edged out NBC in total viewers. Over on Fox, MLB: Regional Coverage (0.17, -0.35) completely collapsed.
