Bachelor in Paradise's hiatus will be short-lived. The long-running Bachelor spinoff, which was put on hold this year after sharp declines its ninth season in 2023, has been renewed for a tenth season. ABC has not yet confirmed when the tenth season will air, but the show was traditionally a summertime staple, airing its first seven seasons after The Bachelorette wrapped for the season and ending just before the start of the fall season. In season eight, it moved in-season, following Dancing with the Stars' move to Disney+, and it stayed in the fall the next season due to the SAG and WGA strikes, which caused ABC to have its first-ever scripted-free lineup. That season averaged 0.34, a performance below the league average and a decline of 38% from the prior season. Following a late premiere for The Bachelorette caused by the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup, as well as the premiere of new spinoff The Golden Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise missed the lineup for ABC this year, but will return in 2025.
