Friday TV Ratings 7/26/24: Olympics Draw Highest Opening Ceremony Ratings Since 2018, WWE SmackDown Sinks [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: The opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics cleared the 3.0 mark in the Adults 18-49 demographic (3.01 rating) and was viewed by over 15 million, leading NBC to complete Friday-night dominance. Fox's WWE Smackdown (0.52, -0.13) declined against the opening ceremony and returned to second. Lingo (0.17, +0.04) recovered a bit on CBS. ABC aired repeats of Jeopardy! Masters (0.16) and 20/20 (0.17). On the CW, Totally Funny Animals (0.03, -0.01) and Totally Funny Kids (0.03, -0.01) ticked down. Key: (R) = repeat.
