Shark Week 2024: Complete Ratings for Every Discovery Channel Special

Since 1988, Shark Week has been a beloved summer tradition on Discovery Channel, with seven straight days of programming entirely dedicated to the most feared of ocean predators. Three hours of new shows tend to air each night in primetime on what is traditionally Discovery's highest-rated week of the year. Last year's series of specials reached a high of 0.44 in the key 18-49 demo for "Jaws vs The Meg," a special that aired on the first night of Shark Week, which tends to attract the highest interest. It reached a low of 0.13 for Friday night special Deadly Sharks of Paradise, an all-time low for Shark Week. The 2023 edition averaged 0.26 overall, a 15% increase from 2023. This year, Shark Week launched to an average of 0.19 on Sunday night, a decline of over 50% from the opening night of Shark Week 2023. Below, you can see the ratings for all of this year's specials:
