Sunday TV Ratings 7/2/23: Tough As Nails Has Dreadful Return, NASCAR Easily Leads for First Street Race, Toy Story 2 OK (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC's showing of the 'NASCAR Grant Park 220' managed a sizable 0.70 rating and coasted to victory in the Adults 18-49 demographic. This rating was nearly three-tenths higher than the already solid 'NASCAR Ally 400' (0.43) that the peacock network aired a week ago. The rerun of 'America's Got Talent' (0.23) that came after lost a huge chunk of that audience. On CBS, 'Tough As Nails' (0.19) crashed to a new series low for its season premiere and almost lost a full tenth from the rerun of '60 Minutes' (0.28) that led into it. CBS closed out a disappointing evening with another repeat of 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.12). ABC's movie of the week was 'Toy Story 2' (0.24) this time around. The 1999 animated feature was a hundredth shy of last week's 'Cinderella' (0.25). The alphabet network had another round of 'AFV' reruns at 7 (0.26) and 8 (0.33). The '2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup' (0.35) put up a decent rating on Fox and led into a rerun of 'Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars' (0.16). The CW had repeats of 'Gotham Knights' (0.03) and 'Superman & Lois' (0.03).

Finals Update: The 'NASCAR Grant Park 220' (+0.1), the '2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup' (+0.1), and the repeat of '60 Minutes' (+0.1) adjusted up, as did the 7PM 'America's Funniest Home Videos' encore (+0.1) and the 8 PM one (+0.1). The repeat of 'America's Got Talent' (-0.1) adjusted down.
