Wednesday TV Ratings 7/19/23: CMA Fest Leads but Declines from 2022, MasterChef and LA Fire & Rescue Also Down, Riverdale Hits Embarrassing New Low (UPDATED)


Ratings Analysis: ABC's broadcast of 'CMA Fest' (0.41) topped the evening in the Adults 18-49 demographic but was down by a tenth from the 2022 edition of the ceremony (0.51). Over on Fox, 'MasterChef' (0.34, -0.05) and 'Food Stars' (0.24, -0.04) crumbled, as did NBC's 'LA Fire & Rescue' (0.23, -0.05). The peacock network's reruns of 'Chicago Fire' (0.15) and 'Chicago PD' (0.16) also fell. CBS aired reruns of 'The Price Is Right At Night' (0.39), 'Let's Make a Deal Primetime' (0.37), and 'CSI: Vegas' (0.21). The 'Price Is Right' encore came very close to beating 'CMA Fest' in the 8 p.m. time slot. On the CW, 'Riverdale' (0.01, -0.05) collapsed to an embarrassing new low, even as 'Nancy Drew' (0.04, +0.01) picked up a hundredth. 

Finals Update: The repeat of 'Let's Make a Deal Primetime' (+0.1) adjusted up.
