Saturday TV Ratings 7/15/23: Baking It Weak in NBC Debut, MLB Leads, WNBA All-Star Game Struggles (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Though the trend of bringing streaming offerings onto prime-time television is going to become increasingly common during the strike, it is unlikely to pay off in terms of Nielsens. NBC tried to transition Peacock series 'Baking It' (0.13) from streaming to broadcast, but the program ultimately debuted in meager fashion. This was made evident an hour later when the 9 p.m. 'America's Got Talent' encore (0.18) bested 'Baking' by a noticeable amount. Fox's 'MLB: Regional Coverage' (0.39, -0.05) dropped by five-hundredths but easily topped all competing programs. On ABC, the 2023 'WNBA All-Star Game' (0.16) posted a lackluster rating, as did the 8 p.m. 'WBNA Countdown' (0.13). The 10 p.m. 'Post-Game' (0.17) improved slightly, but it was not enough to make a difference. On the CW, 'Greatest Geek Year Ever: 1982' (0.03, -0.01) dipped by a hundredth and led into reruns of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.05/0.06). CBS aired repeats of 'NCIS: Hawai'i' (0.10) and '48 Hours' (0.12/0.15).

Finals Update: 'MLB: Regional Coverage' (+0.1) and the 2023 'WNBA All-Star Game' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'Baking It' (-0.1) adjusted down.
