Who Is America? Won’t Return for Another Season on Showtime

Showtime has confirmed that their much-publicized, yet low-rated satirical series Who Is America? won't be returning for a second season. Created by and starring Sacha Baron Cohen, the series was heavily hyped before its debut due to its use of pranks on various political figures, many of whom (including former AK governor Sarah Palin) came forward to complain. Ultimately the series didn't live up to the hype, with a tepid 0.11 debut. It fell as low as 0.05, and it currently averages 0.095 in the 18-49 demo, with ratings for its Sunday finale not yet being reported. It's unclear whether the decision to end the series came from Cohen or Showtime, as Cohen himself tweeted news of the show's end yesterday, a full day before Showtime verified that it was indeed the end. You can see the ratings for the full first and final season of the series below.
