SUNSET VALLEY
Season 2, Episode 2: "Mirror Mirror"
FADE IN.
EXT. UNKNOWN TOWN – NIGHT
The group stands in the middle of an unfamiliar town square. The last thing they remember is the blinding light that seemed to erase Sunrise Valley from existence. Now they find themselves here: yet another town. The buildings around them are tall, old, and decayed.
ELLIOT
For heaven's sake, where are we now?
SYLVIA
This place doesn't look familiar to me…
The group looks around. There’s an eerie silence. A dark fog starts to roll in, covering the town in a thick mist.
JONAS
I don’t like this. I don’t like this one bit.
I’ve had enough of these "creepy-ass" games.
MARGOT
It's not like they care, Jonas.
SHERIFF HARLOW
Whatever this place is, always remember —
we need to stay together. Let’s just keep moving.
The fog thickens. Suddenly, a large, ornate mirror appears in the middle of the square. Its surface reflects the darkened town — but something looks... off.
SYLVIA
(small gasp)
Oh. What is this?
JONAS
Did that mirror just… "pop" into existence?
ELLIOT
(stepping closer)
That’s not a normal mirror.
It’s reflecting something… else.
The mirror’s surface ripples like water. Elliot’s reflection suddenly shifts — his face twists, his eyes change. The image flickers.
MARGOT
Elliot…? Are you okay?
JONAS
Who's that in the mirror?
It looks like you.
ELLIOT
(stepping back, shaken)
I... don't know.
The group stares in silence. The reflections distort again — grotesque, shadowy versions of themselves flicker across the glass.
MARGOT
This must be connected to why we're here.
Maybe it's a puzzle? A way out?
SHERIFF HARLOW
(quietly)
Wait a minute...
I think I’ve seen this mirror before.
In the town hall... in Sunset Valley.
What if it’s our way out?
The mirror shifts again. The fog tightens. A dark figure appears in the mirror — behind them.
They all whip around — nothing there.
JONAS
Yup.
I’m officially going crazy.
Y’all saw that, right?
SYLVIA
I think the mirror is controlling this place...
They look back. The mirror now shows a smiling version of Jonas — but not him. The smile is wrong.
JONAS
(whispering)
Hell no.
Why are they using my face?
That’s… not me.
MARGOT
It’s messing with us.
What if we… broke it?
The reflections twist again. Faces melt into horrific, warped forms.
SHERIFF HARLOW
It didn’t like that.
We need to leave.
Now.
They turn to flee — but the fog thickens. Closes in. Cold and tight.
They’re trapped.
The humming grows louder. The fog whispers their names.
SYLVIA
We're trapped.
We can’t escape.
The ground shakes. The air grows cold.
The mirror flashes — brief images of Sunset Valley, Sunrise Valley, and the Pale Man.
ELLIOT
Guys, I think it’s asking us to go in.
JONAS
What? Are you insane?
We ARE NOT going inside that thing.
The mirror glows. The reflections sharpen.
MARGOT
I think Elliot is right.
We should go in.
Suddenly, a sharp crack pierces the air. A loud voice calls out from the mirror.
VOICE (V.O.)
This is your end.
There’s nothing beyond this place.
Your past, your future —
they all reflect back on you, forever.
SYLVIA
(terrified)
No! You’re scared.
That’s why you started talking to us the second we mentioned going in.
VOICE (V.O.)
What mirror?
A blast shatters the mirror, shards flying everywhere. The group stumbles back, struggling to keep balance.
Suddenly, silence. They’re back in the same square, before the same mirror. But this time, the mirror reflects them normally.
SHERIFF HARLOW
Did we... beat it?
ELLIOT
So... what now?
The voice echoes louder.
VOICE (V.O.)
Now? We break you.
The world flickers once more as everything fades to black.
CUT TO BLACK.
