Password: Jimmy Fallon's revival of the classic game show has been a solid success story for NBC thus far, posted respectable retention from America's Got Talent and rating as a top 10 PM performer this summer. It's the #1 new summer series this season, beating out ABC's Generation Gap. It held mostly steady in its second week, an extremely promising sign for its future. Though its lead-in wasn't nearly as strong, Weakest Link was renewed recently in spite of lower ratings than Password, making Password look like a strong bet for another season, especially considering the previous occupant of the post-AGT slot. It's a LIKELY RENEWAL.

Dancing With Myself: Speaking of that previous time slot occupant! With the success of Password, Dancing With Myself looks even less needed than it previously was. Its ratings were already meager, but with Password performing better behind a weaker AGT, NBC doesn't really have any need to keep Dancing with Myself around. While its ratings weren't as abysmal as some other summer programs, and it could be renewed as filler, it feels far more likely that it will instead be swept into the trash, never mentioned again by NBC. It LEANS CANCELLATION.
