Wednesday TV Ratings 8/3/22: CMA Fest Solid, Big Brother Leads, So You Think You Can Dance Hits New Low (UPDATED)


Ratings Analysis: ABC's 'CMA Fest' (0.51) proved to be far stronger than their usual sitcom rerun lineup and was the second highest-rated program on Wednesday night. CBS staple 'Big Brother' (0.79, +0.04) picked up four-hundredths as 'The Challenge: USA' (0.38, -0.04) declined by that same amount. The 10PM 'SWAT' encore (0.17) was at the same level as the week prior. Fox's 'MasterChef' (0.36, -0.06) and 'So You Think You Can Dance' (0.23, -0.06) lost six-hundredths apiece, with 'Dance' sinking to a brand-new series low. NBC's repeats of 'Chicago Med' (0.26), 'Chicago Fire' (0.34), and 'Chicago PD' (0.37) all improved on a week-to-week basis. 'Mysteries Decoded' (0.03, -0.02) dipped on the CW while 'Wellington Paranormal' (0.02, 0.00) and the 'Wellington' rerun (0.02) held steady.  

Finals Update: 'Big Brother' (+0.1), 'MasterChef' (+0.1), 'The Challenge: USA' (+0.1), and the repeat of Chicago Med (+0.1) adjusted up.
