Tuesday TV Ratings 8/9/22: Password Has Decent Debut, America’s Got Talent Improves (UPDATED)


Ratings Analysis: 'America's Got Talent' (0.74, +0.07) grew by a significant amount on NBC and led into the series premiere of the 'Password' reboot (0.48). 'Password' had passable 65% retention of 'Talent' and was a noticeable improvement over the week-ago 'Family Game Fight!' (0.32). ABC's reruns of 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' (0.38), 'Generation Gap' (0.30), and 'Celebrity Family Feud' (0.30) outpaced CBS's encores of 'FBI' (0.27), 'FBI: International' (0.24), and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.23). Fox was a step behind CBS with softer reruns of 'So You Think You Can Dance' (0.17) and 'Fantasy Island' (0.15). The CW remained in obscurity with repeats of 'Superman & Lois' (0.05) and 'Mysteries Decoded' (0.04).

Finals Update: 'Password' (+0.1) adjusted up, as did repeats of 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' (+0.1) and 'So You Think You Can Dance' (+0.1).
