The Arrowverse is over in a Flash. Long-running superhero drama The Flash, a spinoff of Arrow, will end its run after its upcoming ninth season. Though the show has experienced large ratings declines in recent seasons, it has remained a top performer for the network and survived the May 2022 programming purge that saw the cancellation of numerous fellow DC series, including Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. The ninth and final season will be its shortest, premiering midseason with just a thirteen-episode order. Grant Gustin, Candice Patton and Danielle Panabaker are among the principal cast members on the series.
