What’s Trending on Streaming: Daily Trending Lists for Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, Paramount+ and Max from November 24-November 30

Another week has passed, and we've got another update to the streaming trending lists. The Thanksgiving holiday has left the streamers with less content than usual, though we still had some new entries this week, and some finales. Plus, we have a shakeup to how Hulu's top fifteen chart will be updated moving forward!

Hulu:

As mentioned above, we have an update to the Hulu top fifteen chart starting this week. In previous weeks, Hulu provided only a combined chart, featuring the fifteen most popular options on the service - both film and TV. Now, they've introduced new charts featuring the top 15 movies and the top 15 shows, similar to how most other streamers display their trending charts. Moving forward, this column will use the TV-only list. This week saw four different shows rising to first place. 9-1-1, which aired its midseason finale the previous week, led the way at the start of the week and has mostly stayed in the top five since, only dropping below once. Fellow ABC show Dancing with the Stars also topped the chart after its highly-publicized finale, which drew the highest ratings of any entertainment show this season. The show's momentum was also on full display on Hulu, performing better and better as the weeks went on. It made the list for six days of the seven days this week. Its lead-out, High Potential, hasn't aired in weeks, but it still made the list every day this week, and peaked at #8, nearly dropping off the list towards the end of the week before rebounding. Grey's Anatomy and Doctor Odyssey aired their midseason finales the same night as 9-1-1. Neither looked as strong as that show, but Grey's did chart as high as #3, and remained on the list all week. Doctor Odyssey peaked at #5 and dropped off the list by Friday. Friday newsmagazine 20/20 peaked at a strong #2 and made the list for the entire week, while Shark Tank was assisted by the removal of movies from the list and made the list for the first time this season, hitting #13 as it charted for a single day. Abbott Elementary, which did not air this week, made the list for a single day, while the CMA Awards cracked the list for three days, a Mary Poppins special made the list twice (and counting), and daytime soap General Hospital logged six appearances on the list. With less competition in general, and movies being separated from the chart, every primetime show to air on ABC in the last week made the list at some point, aside from America's Funniest Home Videos. Fox took just one show to #1 this week, with new Super Bowl lead-out The Floor hitting #1 for the first time this season, after it had a special Thanksgiving airing that will surely hit a (temporary) series high once those ratings are in. The Rob Lowe game show looked through the week, though, with four appearances on the list in all. The Masked Singer peaked at a strong #2 and appeared on the list twice this week. Sunday animated comedy Bob's Burgers had its best week since the column began, with six appearances on the list in all. The Simpsons was the only other Sunday Fox cartoon to crack the list, holding on the list for a single day. The Monday dramas were off this week, but Lone Star did still make the list at the start of the week. The Tuesday dramas had decent showings for the first time this season, with Murder in a Small Town peaking at #4 and holding on the list for four days, while Accused also logged four appearances and made the list four times. Outside of broadcast, a Hulu-exclusive episode of Family Guy also topped the list after being released on Monday, leading for two days and staying in the top three ever since. Hulu docuseries Vow of Silence made the list for times, while drama series Interior Chinatown dropped off the list after the first two days of the week. FX's What We Do in the Shadows peaked at #6 and charted for three days.

Disney+:

For the first time, TV shows were entirely absent from the Disney+ chart this week. As Christmas gets closer, more holiday films cracked the list, including Elf, which reached #1 on the top ten list at the end of the week after being added to the service mid-week. Other holiday classics to chart included Christmas Vacation and The Polar Express, which were also just added to Disney+ (and Hulu) this week, as well as longtime Disney+ staples the Santa Clause and the Home Alone films. Of course, holiday films weren't the only things on the list. Disney released a sequel to their smash hit original film Moana this week, and that theatrical release kept the first film in the top ten this week, with a short special look at the sequel actually topping the chart for the majority of the week. Deadpool & Wolverine cooled off a bit in its third week on the service, but remained consistently within the top five. Madagascar also remained on the chart for much of the week, while both the original Lion King and the 2019 remake broke into the top ten as Disney builds anticipation for prequel/sequel film Mufasa, out this December.

Peacock:

Law & Order: SVU remained the dominant force on Peacock, and led the chart for six days this week. While Peacock original Day of the Jackal blocked it last week, it was new sitcom St. Denis Medical that rose to the top of the chart this time around. The series only charted for two days this week, but started at a solid fourth place on Thursday before rising to the top of the chart on Thursday and dropping off after that. Happy's Place was the only other NBC sitcom to chart at all this week, randomly charting at #6 on Friday, six days after a new episode was released, before disappearing the next day. Peacock comedy Based on a True Story remained near the top of the charts this week, placing at #2 for the first five days of the week before dropping to #5 on Friday and then rising to #3 after that. Roseanne also remained in the top ten the entire week. Among dramas, the aforementioned Day of the Jackal looked like the strongest show besides SVU, peaking at #2 and charting for six days in all, falling off the list on Thursday. The Chicago franchise cooled a bit, with Chicago PD peaking at #4 this week, Chicago Fire peaking at #5, and Chicago Med peaking at #7, with Med even sliding off the list on Friday, the first day it hasn't charted since this column began. The Chicagos' underperformance in the second half of the week can likely be attributed to the fact that they last aired on November 20, with no new episodes this week. They won't air again until early next year. SVU's fellow Thursday dramas, Law & Order and Found, both dropped off the list after Monday, after having ranked at #9 and #10 respectively the first two days of the week. That's better than Brilliant Minds and The Irrational can both say. Both shows aired new episodes this week, and neither even cracked the top ten despite having less original competition than usual. Night Court and Lopez vs Lopez also failed to chart, though that's nothing new for them. The Real Housewives franchise also had an underwhelming week, with only four chart appearances in all despite having several series ongoing at this time. The Salt Lake City offshoot was the only spinoff to chart for more than one day. Reality didn't have an entirely bad week, though, as WE's Love After Lockup entered the chart on Sunday and stayed there all week.

Paramount+:

In a week mostly absent of CBS originals, Taylor Sheridan remained the (Tulsa) king of Paramount+. The auteur's latest drama, Landman, hit a new peak of #1 on Sunday, following the release of a new episode, and the show remained in the top five for the rest of the week. Despite Landman's success this week, it wasn't Sheridan's strongest show this week. Though it ended its second season the previous week, Tulsa King hit the top of the chart on Monday, and stayed there the remainder of the week. Lioness, Sheridan's other original, mostly out-performed Landman this week, and peaked at #2, the spot it held for five days of the last week. Some CBS shows did air, though, including NCIS, which peaked at #2 and charted the entire week. Its spinoff, NCIS: Origins, remained entirely MIA, as did its lead-in, Poppa's House. The Neighborhood, which kickstarts Monday nights, charted the entire week, though it looked a bit weaker than usual, only peaking at #7 overall. Tracker continued to prove its value to CBS, peaking at #2 and charting the entire week, ranking at #6 for much of the week. The Equalizer failed to chart at all, continuing a string of bad news for it, following news of a time slot downgrade and yet another series low. Fire Country peaked at #6 and charted for four days, and fellow Friday drama Blue Bloods continued to reliably chart, even if it was towards the bottom of the list for the entire week. Survivor made its lone appearance at #7, while The Summit remained a failure in all aspects, having never, at any point in its run, cracked the top ten. While it didn't air either this week or last, Ghosts was mostly invisible on Paramount+ this week, which is atypical even in weeks it doesn't air. The sitcom charted just twice, at #10 both times.

Max:

Dune: Prophecy swept the Max chart this week, leading every day of the last week. Fellow Sunday series Somebody Somewhere also charted the entire week, though it peaked at #5. The Penguin, which ended weeks ago, remained strong, ranging between #2 and #4 for the entire week. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver also aired its season finale some time ago, on November 17, but still stayed on the chart the first two days of the week before dropping off. Real Time with Bill Maher also slipped off the list after the first two days of the week, though that show aired a new episode much more recently. It's Florida, Man remained in the top ten for the entire week, and peaked at #5. The Franchise failed to chart at all this week, despite having aired its season finale on November 24. HBO Latino's Like Water for Chocolate lasted two days on the chart this week, peaking at #7. Food Network's Harry Potter - Wizards of Baking was once again a solid entry, peaking at #3 and holding on the list all week. Holiday Baking Championship also stayed solid with a peak of #5, and four days in the top ten this week. Scripted Max original The Sex Lives of College Girls charted the entire week and rose to a #2 peak, holding there for two days thus far - an improvement on its launch the prior week.
