Reba McEntire's return to sitcoms has been extended. The Queen of Country's latest sitcom, Happy's Place, which has performed solidly for NBC on Friday nights this fall, has had its first season order extended to eighteen episodes, up from the initial thirteen. It was reported earlier this month that NBC had ordered three new scripts for the series, indicating interested in an extension, with the network ultimately ordering five new completed episodes. There is no word yet on whether Lopez vs Lopez, which also had an initial order of thirteen episodes and was said to have had three new scripts ordered, has also been extended. Happy's Place reunites McEntire with her Reba co-star Melissa Peterman, as well as her Big Sky co-star and boyfriend Rex Linn. Belissa Escobedo also stars in the series as McEntire's long-lost sister.
