Wednesday TV Ratings 5/1/24: Jeopardy! Masters Returns Down but Solid, Survivor and Abbott Elementary Rebound, The Conners Hits New Low in New Slot [+ Analysis]

Ratings Analysis: Jeopardy! Masters (0.43) posted a respectable rating for its ABC return but was two-tenths lower when compared its May 2023 debut (0.63). In the 9 p.m. hour, Abbott Elementary (0.40, +0.13) clearly took advantage of the Jeopardy! lead-in and rebounded rather nicely. However, The Conners (0.30, -0.03) slipped in its move from 8 p.m. to 9:30. A modest Brittney Griner interview (0.23) occupied the 10 p.m. hour. On CBS, Survivor (0.80, +0.06) and The Amazing Race (0.42, +0.08) both climbed higher. The Masked Singer (0.39, -0.01) shed a hundredth on Fox, but Animal Control (0.17, 0.00) matched last week's pitiful rating. Chicago Med (0.40, -0.06) and Chicago PD (0.41, -0.02) declined on NBC, while Chicago Fire (0.42, 0.00) held steady in the middle. Walker (0.06, +0.02) grew on the CW, but Sight Unseen (0.04, -0.01) inched down.
