Ratings Analysis: It was a vaguely promising night for Fox as long-running game show Beat Shazam (0.22) matched its year-ago premiere rating (0.22) in its return, and new game show The Quiz with Balls (0.25) debuted with a fairly respectable rating and built on its Shazam lead-in. On NBC, America's Got Talent (0.45) returned with a rating that was two-tenths behind its summer 2023 start (0.65) and did nothing to help out Password (0.24, -0.05). Police 24/7 (0.05, -0.02) fell on the CW, while Hostage Rescue (0.03, -0.04) dealt with a more severe decline. ABC re-ran Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (0.37), Celebrity Jeopardy! (0.27), and The $100,000 Pyramid (0.18). CBS went with reruns of the FBI trio (0.29/0.24/0.22).
