The Fire Country universe is upon us. CBS has handed a series order to spinoff Sheriff Country, less than a month after the backdoor pilot for the series aired. Morena Baccarin will star in the series, reprising her role from the backdoor pilot as Mickey Fox, the stepsister of Fire Country character Sharon Leone. The series will not air next season, however, and is set to debut in the 2025-26 TV season. Fire Country has been a ratings success for CBS, rating as one of their most-watched titles in the L+35 demo, and it appears to be the future of their Friday night programming lineup.
