Claim to Fame: After ABC shifted it from leading off Mondays to the unenviable post-Bachelorette 10 PM slot, I was feeling like it may be the end of the line for ABC's Masked Singer/Big Brother reality mashup. A downgrade such as that is never a positive sign for a show's longevity, but the show didn't completely fall apart in the new slot, only going a few hundredths below its 8 PM low. Its season low, 0.23, is definitely a weak result, but what makes me hesitate on predicting cancellation is that it does manage to look respectable when it's aired at 8, such as its final last week. The 0.33 for its second season finale was basically in-line with its 0.36 average for the four episodes that it aired at 8 at the start of the season. Yes, it's clearly propped up by the local lead-in, but networks should still feel grateful to find time slot "hits" that can take advantage of better situations, as many can not. Take Judge Steve Harvey, which never once surpassed that 0.33 (it matched it once), and averaged 0.28 in its Wednesday at 8 slot. While Claim to Fame is no powerhouse, ABC should probably be content with having an OK performer like this on their summer lineup, especially with so many hours in summer completely empty and filled by repeats that perform worse. It's being upgraded to LEANS RENEWAL, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it go either way.

Stars on Mars: One of the lowest-rated shows on the Big Four this summer, Stars on Mars never looked solid ay any point in its run, but the second half of the season was an indisputable disaster, as the show hit a rounded 0.1 multiple times and never surpassed a 0.20 at any point during that part of the season. Its season finale saw a small rise (a whole 0.02 gain) to a 0.17, but that is certainly nothing to commend it for - a rise that small can be credited to weaker competition overall and typical episode-to-episode fluctuations. This show was a disaster for Fox, and was their lowest-rated hour-long show this summer, only rating ahead of HouseBroken, which was buried behind repeats on Sundays. Fox can do a lot of house cleaning with this summer lineup, but this show should be one of the first to go. A complete failure to launch, it's a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
