EXT. MANHATTAN SKYLINE - DAY

An urban area is situated in Staten Island in the middle of New York City.

EXT. NETWORK HEADQUARTERS - DAY

The network’s headquarters sits in the heart of downtown Manhattan.

INT. BUSINESS HALLWAY - DAY

Charlie and Ash walk towards the conference room.

Leah walks toward them, with her phone in hand.

LEAH
Guys! You need to see this!

Charlie and Ash turn towards each other.

Then they shrug in exasperation.

Charlie then grabs Leah’s phone.

CHARLIE
S***!

LEAH
What is it?

Ash stops Charlie from throwing Leah’s phone across the room.

ASH
Let’s just talk things out, okay?

From across the hall, Jesse runs towards the group.

Shock enters Jesse’s face.

JESSE
What just happened?

LEAH
You just missed an almost total destruction of my phone!

Jesse sighs.

Leah then turns to Charlie.

LEAH (CONT’D)
(angrily)
Don’t ever do that again!

Charlie shrugs and lets out a long-winded sigh.

INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - DAY

The group (Kasey, Jesse, Matt, Charlie, Ash, and Leah) gathers together in the conference room table, sitting on opposite sides of each other.

Charlie has a stack of reports.

Jesse has a notepad and a pencil in front of him. He jots down notes.

Leah looks up from her laptop.

LEAH
Everything is down. Advertisers have been pulling out since Thursday.

JESSE
And we need to pull The Bullpen from the Friday night schedule until after the November sweeps period.

Ash looks up at Jesse.

ASH
Jesse, when we pull a show, it doesn’t usually air again. Remember Psych Med?

CHARLIE
Ash, this is a different case. We have a weak link, but other shows minus the comedies and maybe The President’s Daughter have crashed too.

Charlie then takes a drink of water. She then sets the glass of water in front of her.

CHARLIE (CONT'D)
Maybe we should take a look at Real Hollywood and how it affects the Monday night schedule. As it stands, Paradise is the lowest rated drama on the lineup. It’s lower rated than The Bullpen right now.

Matt then gets up.

MATT
What’s the deal with Real Hollywood?

CHARLIE
Don’t you start trifling with me, Matty Boy.

MATT
Why do you say that Real Hollywood is affecting the Monday night schedule?

Charlie then takes a deep breath. She pulls up the ratings trend graphs.

CHARLIE
When Real Hollywood goes down, so does Paradise.

Ash nods.

Ash then grabs the stack of reports.

ASH
As much as I don’t want to do this, we do not need to pull Real Hollywood from the schedule before the November sweeps period.

Kasey then writes the information on a notepad.

ASH (CONT'D)
We are definitely canceling Paradise. But that’s not all. Since Cardinal Heights is the second lowest rated show in the schedule, we are capping it at 13 episodes. Once it finishes its season, then we are moving Real Hollywood there.

Leah then looks up at Ash.

LEAH
What about Glamanour Heights?

CHARLIE
It’s the least of our problems at the moment. It’s not as relatively low rated like it was at the end of the season, but now with the declining ratings, it’s in the middle of the pack, following The President’s Daughter and the comedies. That's what happens when a network is in freefall.

The group then sighs.
