FADE IN:
EXT. MANHATTAN SKYLINE - DAY
An urban area is situated in Staten Island in the middle of New York City.
EXT. NETWORK HEADQUARTERS - DAY
The network’s headquarters sits in the heart of downtown Manhattan.
INT. BUSINESS HALLWAY - DAY
Charlie is on her phone as she walks towards Ash’s office.
Kasey walks and stops Charlie dead on her tracks.
KASEY
Got any news?
Charlie looks up.
CHARLIE
The numbers are in.
KASEY
Mind if I have a look?
CHARLIE
Be my guest.
Charlie hands Kasey her phone.
Kasey pauses.
She hands the phone back to Charlie.
KASEY
How underwhelming for The Bullpen. Marietta did well. And what the heck is going on with some of our returning shows?
Ash then enters the scene.
Kasey and Charlie turn to face Ash.
Ash crosses his arms.
Charlie hands Ash her phone.
ASH
Well. At least we don’t have a show premiering at Psych Med level. That’s a start, but it’s still underwhelming.
CHARLIE
But we also have Whoa Folks, I Have Another Dream.
ASH
Solid. We are not worried too much about it. It’s The Bullpen that’s worrisome. And maybe some returning shows like Real Hollywood and our comedies excluding Marietta.
Kasey begins to walk off.
KASEY
I should leave you two alone to discuss things.
She waves goodbye and leaves the scene in order to return to her office.
Charlie crosses her arms.
CHARLIE
But we need to discuss some future options for the newbies.
ASH
But unlike last season with Psych Med, nothing has reached pull me now levels in the ratings department.
CHARLIE
How could I even forget this dreck?
Ash’s eyes widen. Then a smile enters his face.
ASH
That’s the Charlie I know.
Charlie grins.
