FADE IN:
INT. CAR - DAY
Noah and Jack are in the car. Jack is driving.
Noah glares at Jack. He shrugs.
Jack’s hands are on the steering wheel. His eyes wander aimlessly at the road signs and buildings.
Noah sighs.
NOAH
Where exactly are we going?
Jack sighs as his eyes remain fixed on the road.
JACK
We are going to Coachella. I bought tickets.
Noah’s eyes widen.
NOAH
How are you able to afford all of this?
Jack grins.
JACK
Long story. It was a bet and a broken nose.
NOAH
In other words, a bar fight?
Jack and Noah shrug. They glare at each other.
Jack resumes looking at the road.
Noah looks at the road. He sighs.
EXT. CAR - DAY
The car rolls down the highway.
EXT. FESTIVAL VENUE PARKING LOT - DAY
The car rolls down to the venue parking lot. It is somewhat full, but it is early on in the day.
The car parks.
Noah and Jack get out of the car. They hold what appear to be festival passes in their hands.
EXT. GATE - DAY
They walk from the parking lot to the venue entrance.
They show their tickets to the attendant and walk inside the gate entrance.
EXT. FESTIVAL GROUNDS - DAY
Noah and Jack walk around aimlessly in the venue looking for stages.
NOAH
I sure would love to see a punk band one day.
JACK
Noah. There are barely any punk or any rock bands playing at this festival. And they are all somewhat obscure.
NOAH
What the hell does that suppose to mean?
The two of them go through merchandise tables and attempt to buy whatever they can find.
Then they take pictures of each other while noticing the festival attendees’ attire.
They look at each other. Jack raises his eyebrows.
Noah shrugs and smirks in agreement.
They continue walking.
SUPER: HOURS LATER
Jack and Noah gleefully walk through the festival grounds.
JACK
Did you see that? That was awesome!
NOAH
I couldn’t even feel my face.
JACK
I want to see more fire!
Jack jumps for joy.
An onlooker looks by then walks past Jack and Noah as if he pretends nothing happened.
INT. HOTEL ROOM - NIGHT
Noah kicks back on the sofa as he flips through the remote.
Jack looks on as he paces back and forth.
SUPER: A FEW DAYS LATER
EXT. CAR - DAY
Jack is focused on the road as he places both hands on the steering wheel.
Noah nods.
NOAH
Well, that was eventful.
JACK
You said it.
Laughter ensues.
