SUPER: PREVIOUSLY ON WHOA FOLKS, I HAD ANOTHER DREAM…
INT. CAR - DAY
SUPER: FIVE MINUTES LATER
Sarah is intently focused on the drivers seat of the car while Amanda watches by on the passengers side.
SARAH
I am scared. That mask. That idol.
AMANDA
Freaky, huh?
SARAH
I’m taking you home.
Amanda sighs.
BACK TO PRESENT EPISODE.
EXT. TURNER HOUSE - DAY
A car parks outside of the garage at the house.
It has been thirty minutes since the previous episode. But Sarah and Amanda are now home.
INT. AMANDA’S ROOM - DAY
Amanda falls asleep. She tosses and turns.
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
Sarah is sitting on the sofa reading a book from the bookshelf.
Suddenly, she hears a SHRIEK from upstairs.
Sarah drops the book, gets up, and rushes upstairs.
INT. AMANDA’S ROOM - DAY
Inside, Amanda breathes quickly and heavily.
AMANDA
God help me!
The door swings open to reveal Sarah.
Sarah rushes to the bed.
She holds Amanda tight.
On the verge of tears, Amanda takes a breath.
AMANDA (CONT'D)
Remember when you said…
FLASHBACK - SESSION ROOM - DAY
We flash back to the therapist’s office when Sarah Lynn went by the alias of Jane Doe.
Sarah sighs as she stands in front of the officer and Amanda.
Amanda sighs in anticipation while the officer has his notepad out to take notes.
SARAH
So you want to know the truth?
AMANDA
I want to know. Are you my mother?
SARAH
Let me explain. My name is Sarah Lynn Turner. I have a daughter named Amanda. My husband’s name is Will. I go by the name of Jane Doe because I am in fear for my life.
The officer gets up, in shock over the whole ordeal.
SARAH (CONT'D)
You see Amanda, Will raised you as his daughter, but he is not your father. My ex boyfriend Charles is your father. Charles killed my twin sister Margaret and framed the one who raised you.
On the verge of tears, Sarah looks down.
Amanda gets up with fury rising from her face.
AMANDA
Okay, okay, slow down. So, my aunt is dead instead of you, Mom?
SARAH
Yes, Amanda.
With a loss of words, the officer motions closer to Sarah.
OFFICER
Dr. Turner, I am so sorry. Did you have a restraining order on him before you decided to use an alias?
SARAH
Yes, officer. But he has violated the restraining order, which meant I had to change my name and leave town.
BACK TO PRESENT DAY.
Sarah leaps back from Amanda.
SARAH
No, no, no, no, no, no.
AMANDA
It’s a good possibility. Charles knows how to play the strings.
SARAH
I need to get out of here, Amanda. We need to get out of here.
AMANDA
I will find Charles. With the police. I will make sure he doesn’t hurt you. Nor will he attempt to kill anyone else. I think if he’s capable of…
SARAH
I’m leaving Amanda. And it breaks my heart. I worry for your safety. I worry about what’s going to happen. He’ll most likely kill you too if your dreams are correct, which they are.
Amanda lays back down as Sarah leaves the room.
Next week, it gets even more intense.
