2x06 - “The Getaway”

FADE IN:
INT. BLACK - NIGHT
Previously on Whoa Folks, I Had Another Dream…
INT. CAR - DAY
Amanda and Sarah leave the parking lot. Sarah, on the driver’s side, is focused on the road.
Amanda, on the passenger’s side, sighs.
AMANDA
Shall we take a vacation?
SARAH
Be my guest.
EXT. FIFTH AVENUE - DAY
The car then drives away.
SUPER: HOURS LATER
EXT. WOODS - EVENING
An undisclosed location in upstate New York establishes itself. The wind whistles.
Trees are situated one by one.
It is fall, and the leaves are changing colors from yellow to orange, to red, to everything in between.
EXT. CABIN - EVENING
A cabin sits in the vicinity of the trees. A fire is established outside, as if a bonfire is happening.
Outside, Sarah gathers sticks to make the fire slightly bigger in size.
INT. CABIN LIVING ROOM - EVENING
Inside, Amanda naps on the sofa. But this is not a peaceful nap.
DREAM SEQUENCE
INT. PRECAMBRIAN ROOM - DAY
We are at the Museum of Early American Antiquities. The eerie sound continues to fade in the distance.
Inside, there is a mask. It is a mask commonly used for tribal dances (Picture a Native American powwow dance in a Native American festival!).
INSERT - BLACK GLOVED HAND
The hand of a MYSTERIOUS MAN attempts to snatch it.
Then the light goes red.
Looking closer, the mysterious man is wearing a mask. He snickers evilly.
On the other hand holds a knife.
END DREAM SEQUENCE
BACK TO CABIN LIVING ROOM.
Amanda wakes up and gets up.
She SHRIEKS.
EXT. CABIN - EVENING
Sarah overhears screaming coming from the cabin.
Sarah drops the sticks. She runs to the entrance door of the cabin.
INT. CABIN LIVING ROOM - EVENING
The door opens to reveal Sarah.
Amanda trembles.
Sarah rushes to the sofa to comfort Amanda.
Amanda stands up and gently pushes Sarah.
Sarah’s eyes widen in confusion.
AMANDA
He has a knife!
SARAH
A knife?!?
AMANDA
He’s looking for his next victim! It could be one of us. And he has that evil grin.
Tears flow from Amanda’s face.
Sarah sits Amanda down on the sofa and holds her as tightly as she could.
Sarah trembles in fear.
AMANDA (CONT’D)
Oh God, we’re not safe. We’re doomed. We gotta get out of here.
SARAH
Amanda, it’s okay. It’s a s***** situation. If that suspect is who I think it is, then he can’t hurt you. He’ll have to hurt me first.
AMANDA
Mom, don’t.
Amanda sinks into her mother’s arms further, trying to muffle her cries.
SARAH
I have the key. I’ll put the fire out and lock the cabin. By tomorrow, we’re going home and locking the door too. Noone is going to hurt my daughter. I’ll make sure of it.
Amanda breaks away and takes a breath. Sarah trembles.
Next week, on Whoa Folks, I Had Another Dream, we return to their house in the cul-de-sac. Something more chilling awaits.
FADE OUT
